1. Who we are
BarCloud (“we”, “us”, or “our”), operated by JLOCODES Solutions, provides a Philippine-first centralized product barcode lookup platform and API for POS providers, inventory systems, retailers, and developers (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use BarCloud websites, dashboards, and related services.

2. Information we collect
We may collect:
- Account information — such as name, email address, and password (if you create an account with email/password).
- Google Sign-In information — if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from Google according to the permissions you grant (typically your name, email address, and Google account identifier). We do not receive or store your Google password.
- Usage and billing data — such as API usage, scan credits, subscription plan, billing history, promo redemptions, and payment status processed through our payment provider.
- API and contribution data — such as API keys you create, barcode lookups you perform, and product suggestions or “not found” contributions you submit.
- Technical and usage data — such as device type, browser, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, and logs used for security, rate limiting, debugging, and improving the Service.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service and product catalog
- Authenticate users (including Google Sign-In) and secure accounts
- Issue and manage API keys, credits, subscriptions, and billing
- Send transactional messages (for example email verification, password reset, or billing notices)
- Respond to support requests and communicate about the Service
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Google Sign-In
When you use Google Sign-In, Google authenticates you and shares limited profile data with us as described in Google’s policies and the scopes we request (generally email and profile / basic account info). You can revoke BarCloud’s access to your Google account at any time in your Google Account settings. After revocation, you may need another sign-in method to access your BarCloud account if one is available.
Our use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements where applicable. We use Google user data only to authenticate you and operate your BarCloud account — not for advertising, and not to sell personal data.
5. How we share information
We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Service (for example hosting, email delivery, payment processing, analytics), under obligations to protect your data
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
We do not share Google user data with third parties for advertising or sell it.
6. Retention
We retain account, usage, and billing data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us; some records may be retained where legally required or for legitimate business backups for a limited period.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information (such as encrypted transport, hashed passwords where applicable, and access controls). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong password where applicable and protect your devices and API keys.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, update, or delete certain personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us at support@barcloud.ph to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
9. Children’s privacy
The Service is intended for business and developer use and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries where we or our providers operate. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
